8.16.26 - Summer Travels Complete
And we’re back. Well, I’m back. I mean others are also back, but in the context of this post being written, I’m the one who is back. And it’s good to be back!

First off, let’s get the travel debrief out of the way. Since the last post I went first to Colorado for my sister’s wedding, but not the full wedding cuz that’ll be next year. It was the official signing and ceremony so now they’re married, except they were already married in the eyes of the Army cuz they already did that. So, uh, yeah it was like ceremony wedding part 2 of 3?
Anyway, it was lovely to be back and see my family and meet a couple of my sister’s and fiance’s friends. And she asked me to be the officiant for the full big wedding thing! So now it’s time to start drafting that speech.
… is what bwings us togevah, today.
Then on August 2nd, my wife and I left for Alaska! It was an Adventures By Disney tour that was doubling as kind of a family reunion for her side of the family, so it was her parents and the three kids with their spouses. We were excited to go, especially since Alaska is so dang far away and we didn’t figure we’d ever get there outside of this opportunity.
Just this. Everywhere.
Except damn, it is fucking gorgeous there. Just beautiful nature and wilderness and glaciers and wildlife everywhere. Even their big city of Anchorage is a little baby city, and within thirty minutes you’re out of it back to the last frontier. It was amazing, and we had a phenomenal time.
Also I’m going to apply to be an Adventures by Disney tour guide next year. Not kidding.

On the crafts side of stuff I haven’t done too much (cuz of the things above, mostly). Building a little witch cottage from Lumibricks, 3D printing some storage stuff, mistakenly bought a knitting kit from Alaska (so now I have to decide if I can translate the pattern to crochet or if this is when I finally sit down and learn to knit).

Got another chapter written for Fox Squad! Finished today actually. Been writing several other things, and also doing some little writing challenges with some of my author friends. But here’s a random snippet for you to end this post.
