7.5.26 - Regularly Scheduled Programming

I got a chapter written in Fox Squad this week! I’ve also decided that on weeks where I get some writing done, I’m going to end the newsletter with a quote from my writing that I like. Completely out of context of course. So look for that at the end!

Good progress on my Kay Vess blaster! Not fully complete, but only a few components left, a little paint touch up, and then we’re done. I also started painting one of my other props (one of Sabine Wren’s blasters, also from Star Wars), but some of the masking didn’t mask quite well enough, so I have some repainting to do.

Pew pew!

Minas Tirith is almost complete as well (look at all this stuff being almost complete), but I built a smaller set that just arrived in the middle of working on that. It is a little robot that has swappable faceplates, coming from the Bricklink Designer Program (still Lego, just a different source).

Also did a little crocheting (making tails for a kitsune that I had finished the rest of a while ago) and a few more rows of the big Ahsoka cross stitch that I’ve been working on for … so long.

Looking forward to some cooler days this week. If it’s been hot where you are, hope you get some relief too! And maybe I’ll have a template built next week! Who can say!
